The Sammanoy Gut Co-operative Society Ltd. was endowed with a $ 66,000.00 grant from the FORD FOUNDATION in the fall of 1999 to help establish the infrastructure and offices of the CCRD and to procure equipment for it. This access to funds made it possible for the Centre to take up activities, which had so far been only in blueprint.

The Sammanoy Gut Co-operative Society Ltd., through a Board of Management elected from amongst its Executive Members, administers the Centre for Cultural Research & Documentation on a non-profit basis. The current organizational structure of the Centre includes an Executive Director (looking after media projects, programs & planning), a Program Assistant (public programmes and office functioning), a Programme Technician and an Office Attendant.
